MatCMS Cloud – when it's more than one website

The cloud is an add-on, not a requirement. Every MatCMS website runs without it. If you look after many websites, you connect them to the cloud and maintain them in one place.

MatCMS is built to run entirely on its own: editor, blog, shop, forms, backups — everything works without a connection to the outside. The dashboard of a website without the cloud says it plainly: “not connected — the website runs on its own”.

The cloud pays off when you run several websites — as an agency, as a host or for your own projects.

Updates with rollback

New versions are detected centrally; updates run with a click, and on an error it rolls back automatically.

Monitoring

Online status of every website and an email notification when one goes down or an update fails.

Profiles

Maintain settings, users, plugins, components and templates once and roll them out to many websites.

Hosting

Create new websites, connect domains with certificates, add servers as nodes.

Backups

Store backups of every website centrally, download them and restore them.

API & MCP

Every function also as a REST API and as an MCP tool — AI agents can manage websites and create content.

AI for all websites — centrally

The AI assistant runs on every website, also without the cloud — with its own AI connection. The cloud offers it centrally: you store AI profiles (DeepSeek, OpenRouter, a ChatGPT account …) once in the cloud, activate one of them, and every connected website can use it — without a key ever reaching the websites.

Per profile in the cloud you define which websites may use AI and how many tokens per month.
